RDBA Virtual Annual General Meeting

From May 29, 2021 2:00 pm until May 29, 2021 4:00 pm

This meeting will be held via ZOOM.  It’s free to attend and everyone is welcome, however only RDBA members-in-good-standing may vote on any motions tabled at the AGM.

 

Agenda

1.  Introductions and President's report.

2.  Receive the Minutes of the last AGM.

3.  Review the Treasurer's report and financial statements from the previous year.

4.  To elect the Board of Directors and Officers for the 2021/2022 year.

5.  To transact such further or other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.

6.  To review key initiatives for the Association, including our new Springbrook Community Gardens apiary.

7.  Guest speaker panel:

 

  • Peter Lawson DVM will be talking to the group about the Vertinarians role in beekeeping practice.

 

  • Alexandra Panasiuk, Senior Lead Apiculture Inspector with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry will be presenting on the types of inspections the Bee Health Assurance Team does and why it is important to have your colonies inspected.

 

  • Jake Herman, PhD student from Olav Rueppell's Honey Bee lab at the University of Alberta will be guiding us through his presentation "Learning from Asian Honey Bees and other Apis".
